Tip # 8 – Celebrate

Celebration is a great way to reinforce good performance and thank our employees for achieving desired results. Celebration can include anything from a simple verbal “thank you”, to Thank You Notes sent to employees’ homes, to pizza parties, to senior leaders delivering pastries to departments that hit the 99th percentile, to organization-wide celebrations. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, but it should be from the heart, senior leaders should be involved, and it should be often.

Celebrations do several things:

Show appreciation

Demonstrate Humility

Reinforce desired behaviors

Encourage future desired behaviors
